Vivien Yan Lu | Contemporary Artist
Vivien is a contemporary artist whose creative journey began with pencil sketches during her teenage years in China. After moving to Australia in the early 1990s, she pursued a two-year Diploma of Art at RMIT, where her early artistic experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for creative expression.
Her multidisciplinary practice has evolved across photography, pastel, acrylic and, most recently, watercolor. Through these diverse mediums, Vivien explores the interplay between colour, light, emotion and imagination, allowing each work to develop its own visual language.
For Vivien, art is more than decoration; it is a form of visual poetry. She has exhibbited her at a number of Austrailian art shows and exhibitions, including the Camberwell Art Show, Mornington Art Show and Malvern Artiests' Society (MAS),among others.
Her artistic practice is driven by a desire to create works that resonate beyond the surface—works that capture moments of beauty, evoke emotion and encourage reflection on the richness and complexity of life. |
